Eurail.com to conquer Latin America

In order to promote European train travel in Latin-America, Eurail.Com now has translated their English website in Spanish and Portuguese. With the introduction of the translated website and a supporting online game, Eurail.Com is focussing to increase brand awareness and website participation in Latin-America.

Paulien Pierik, Managing Director of Eurail.Com: “By offering a fully translated Spanish and Portuguese website, Eurail.Com addresses the significance of the Latin-American market and rapid internet adaption. With the new translations on the Eurail.com website, we can finally reach a wide public in Latin-America. In addition to the website, our experienced Service Team can answer questions in Spanish and Portuguese, in the same response time that English speaking customers profit from”.

Jeroen de Bruin, Marketing Manager of Eurail.Com: “Next year, the success story of the Eurail pass continues for its 50th year. Entire Europe can be covered by train, offering a unique experience for travellers. The Eurail pass offers unlimited travel in 1st class seats and is available for Non-European residents only. Forget crowded roads, complicated traffic rules. Just sit down and relax until you arrive in the city centres of each European city”.

Translating the website is the first step in targeting the Latin market. Currently, no less than three Latin American countries can be found in the top-10 most frequent website visitors: Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. The aim of Eurail.Com is to increase brand awareness in all Latin countries and consequently attract more travellers from this region.

The introduction of the translated website will be marketed by an easy to play game, “The Raildance Express”. The game is a travel experience which makes the player virtually jump and run to earn 'euros' while passing by some of the many highlights in Europe. It is offered in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

It is worth participating in the game since many free Eurail Passes can be won by playing the game successfully. Weekly high scores will be rewarded with two Eurail Global Passes with 15 travel days, worth $1155 each. Moreover, four monthly winners will be drawn randomly from the high score top-100 list. This year, the chance to be in the high score top 100 is even larger than in the previous game: by forwarding the game to friends the player receives 25% of their scores if they decide to play as well.

With these new implementations Eurail.Com strives to further improve customer satisfaction, in order to enable the train travel experience for even more people worldwide.
